The two high schools located in Palatine offer indoor trick or treat events for younger children.
PALATINE HIGH SCHOOL
October 24, 5:00-6:30pm
Palatine High School will host its annual Trick-or Treat with Pirate Pete event on Thursday, October 24th from 5:00 to 6:30 pm, at Palatine High School, 1111 N. Rohlwing Rd. Children ages ten and under, accompanied by an adult, are invited to attend this FREE annual celebration of the fall season. Students from a variety of Palatine High School clubs, organizations, programs, and athletic teams will staff the event. The gym and cafeteria will have a large selection of carnival type games for the children to play, including a Pirate Ship Moon Jump Slide. Speech Team and Drama Club will host a petting zoo with a snake, hedgehog, and other furry animals in the gym hallway. The transportation department will be hosting a Halloween school bus outside Exit 1. Classrooms throughout the first floor of the school will be decorated using themes. Each classroom has a sign outside letting parents know if the room is “scary” or “not scary” for the children. Treats will be handed out at the event.

FREMD HIGH SCHOOL
October 30, 4:30-6:00pm
Fremd Student Council invites children and parents to attend their annual Halloween festival. Kids can trick or treat around the school to enjoy games, toys, and candy. Fremd High School, 1000 S. Quentin Road, is a proud Teal Pumpkin supporter, so there will be plenty of allergy-friendly prizes for all children. All children under the age of twelve are invited and must be accompanied by an adult. Enter the school at the main (flagpole) entrance in the front of the building.
This year, Fremd Student Council will also be trick or treating for canned goods! The are accepting donations of canned goods and non-perishables for the Palatine Township Food Pantry. There will be collection bins upon entering the school!
