Whether you are a great ice skater or just a beginner, ice skating is a fun activity the whole family can enjoy during the winter season. Find opportunities to skate both indoor and out this winter in and around the Palatine, Barrington and CaryGrove area.
Palatine Park District Community Park Ice Rink at 250 E Wood St
Bring your own skates for some ice skating fun or bring your hockey stick and enjoy a pick up game with friends. The rink is open daily from 9am-10pm. Check ice conditions before you go HERE
Barrington Park District Ice Rink at Citizens Park 511 Lake Zurich Rd.
Bring your own skates and glide around the rink or bring some friends for a game of ice hockey. Open Monday-Friday for Ice Skating from 12pm-7pm and Hockey from 10am-12pm and 7pm-9pm, Weekends for Ice Skating from 12pm-4pm and Hockey from 10am-12pm and 4pm-5:30pm. Closed December 31 & January 1.
Kids Care Basketball Courts at Algonquin Road School in Fox River Grove are transformed into Ice Skating rinks every winter. It's free to skate from 8am-Dusk daily, but you need to provide your own ice skates.
Jaycee Park Ice Rink and Warming Shelter in Cary is located at Silver Lake and Three Oaks Road. It is open daily until 9:00pm. When the ice is safe to skate on the park district will clear a rink and post signs. There are also restrooms available. Check HERE to see if the rink is open before you go.

Admission: $12 w/skate rental, $8 w/o skate rental, $8 children under 3

Mondays-Fridays 4-9pm
Saturdays 11am- 10pm
Sundays 11am- 8 pm
School Break Weekdays 11am- 10pm
