Recipe: Apple Nachos

By Katie Walthall, Publisher Mom of Macaroni Kid CaryGrove-Barrington-Palatine March 16, 2017

What mom isn't looking for a fun, nutritional snack for her kids after school.  My kids love a good afterschool snack and the more interesting it is, the more likely they are to devour it.  I found this recipe for Apple Nachos a few years ago and I finally decided to try it out, but I changed up a few of the ingredients to fit what my kids like. Not only is this recipe super simple and quick to make, it is absolutely delicious.

Here's what you will need:

Apples

Peanut Butter

Honey

Raisins

Chocolate Chips

Cinnamon

Directions:

1. Slice your apples

2. Arrange on a plate

3.  Scoop some peanut butter into a microwave safe bowl and microwave for about 20 seconds, just until it is smooth enough to pour from the bowl.

4.  Drizzle peanut butter on top of apples

5. Sprinkle on desired amount of chocolate chips and raisins

6. Drizzle a little honey on top of the apples

7. Dust with cinnamon
